HAMPTON, Va. - Down 21-7 in the fourth quarter, Shon Mitchell and Oscar Smith (13-2) rallied to tie the game at 21-21 with seven seconds left.

On the first play of overtime, Mitchell connected with sophomore wide reciever Camron Kelly at the pylon to score, turning the tables to Westfield. The Bulldogs (13-2) answered quickly, and in double overtime, scored again on a touchdown pass. Oscar Smith was stopped on fourth and goal at the three-yard line to end the game.

The Tigers lost to Westfield in similar fashion in last seasons state title game, making the feeling all too familiar, and just as heartbreaking.

"It's tough, been to three state finals, lost all of them, two to the same team twice in overtime. All the frustration, all the sorrow, it's just tough," says senior quarterback Shon Mitchell after the game.
