Man injured in Portsmouth shooting, police investigate

pt-shooting1PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night in the 30 block of Emmons Place.

Portsmouth Police dispatchers got a call at 9:17 p.m. about the shooting.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his lower body.

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

At this time, investigators do not have a suspect or a motive in this case.
