Watch: Donald Trump continues ‘Thank You Tour’ in North Carolina

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – President-elect Donald Trump made a stop on his victory tour in North Carolina Tuesday evening.

Trump formally announced his plan to nominate retired Marine General James Mattis as his Secretary of Defense.

If he’s approved, Mattis would be the highest-ranking former officer to serve as defense secretary. The Washington State native and history major led troops through the conflicts in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and Iraq.
