Pedestrian suffers life threatening injuries after being hit by vehicle in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. – Police responded to the scene of an accident involving a car and a pedestrian around 6:45 a.m. Sunday.

According to police, the crash happened at Tidewater Drive and St. Julian Avenue.

Police say the vehicle was traveling southbound on Tidewater Drive when a man attempted to cross the street at St. Julian Avenue and was hit by a car.

The pedestrian was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene.
