VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Students at First Colonial High School participated in Giving Tuesday by preparing and serving meals at the Judeo Christian Center.

The teens are part of an Operation Smile student club and have all gone on international medical missions with the organization.

Senior Chin Moss said, “Because of my medical mission to China with Operation Smile my entire outlook on life has changed. I no longer take things for granted. I feel empowered to change the world and it starts right here at home.”

“I recently went on a medical mission to Paraguay with Operation Smile. I learned about how others live and the less fortunate. It impacted me to the point where I want to do more in my community. I want to give back and help others. Giving Tuesday is a perfect opportunity to do just that,” said Tara Midgett, also a senior at First Colonial.
