Five teens apprehended in Norfolk stolen car police pursuit

NORFOLK, Va. – Five teenagers have been apprehended Monday after a police pursuit.

Chesapeake Police say they saw a stolen car in the area of Berkley Ave., and Bethel Rd., around 5 p.m.

The officer followed the vehicle into the City of Norfolk where additional units came to help.

When officers attempted a traffic stop the vehicle did not stop and a police pursuit occurred at Canton Ave., and Waltham Street.

The pursuit ended in the 3600 block of Robin Hood Road after the vehicle overturned and struck a 2012 Honda.

All five teens including the driver of the stolen vehicle were between the ages of 14-15 years old and were apprehended on scene.

The teens were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Norfolk Police will pursue charges against the teens.

The driver of the Honda was also transported to a hospital for minor injuries.
