Tracking unsettled weather on the way….The work week will start dry, but we’re tracking rain chances through midweek.
As we move through our Monday, expect a mix of sun and clouds across the area. High temperatures will climb into the upper 50s. Tonight, expect increasing clouds but most of us will be dry. With the cloud cover around, lows will only sink into the lower 50s.
Then, on Tuesday, all eyes will be on an upper level low that will slowly makes its way across the country through midweek. This weather setup will keep us unsettled, with our first chance of rain on Tuesday as a surface cold front moves in. Otherwise, we’ll see a good deal of clouds. We’ll see a significant warmup, with highs in the low to mid 70s due in part to strong southerly winds between 15 and 25 mph, with higher gusts. By Wednesday, we’ll also see highs in the mid and upper 70s. We’ll have another shot of rain and possibly a thunderstorm as a second cold front moves in. Otherwise, expect partly sunny skies. A few showers are likely early Thursday before the moisture moves offshore. Highs on Thursday will be back in the 60s.
This Afternoon: Sun and Clouds. Mild. Highs in the upper 50s. Winds: S 5-10 mph.
Tonight: Mostly Cloudy. Not as Cold. Lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds: S 5-15 mph.
Tomorrow: More Clouds Than Sun. Chance of Showers (40%). Windy. Highs in the low and mid 70s. Winds: S 15-25 mph, gusts to 30 mph.
