Motorcyclist dies in early morning crash on Granby Street

NORFOLK, Va. – A motorcyclist has died from his injuries from a single-vehicle motorcycle crash early Saturday morning, according to police.

Units were called to the 4200 block of Granby StreetĀ just after 1:20 a.m.

The man, identified as Quetin Jones, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the man was driving southbound on Granby Street and lost control of the motorcycle. He hit the curb, then a sign. Police believe speed was a contributing factor in the crash.

Granby Street was closed off until 5 a.m. while the traffic fatality team investigated the crash.
