Sunday’s First Warning Forecast: Gusty winds and a big drop in temperatures

The First Warning Storm Team is tracking big changes in your First Warning Forecast!

A cold start to your Sunday. Temperatures will continue to be on the chilly side, with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. A stiff breeze out of the west will make temperatures feel much colder. Sustained winds around 15-25 mph, with gusts anywhere from 30-40 mph is expected. The highest wind gusts will be felt by folks on the Eastern Shore. Mostly clear skies throughout the day. Heading into Sunday night, temperatures will drop into the low to mid 30s.

Another dry day to start your workweek on Monday with highs in the lower 50s. Temperatures will continue to trend in the 50s through mid-week.

Our next chance for some showers will be late Wednesday and into the early morning hours on Thanksgiving. The rest of the day looks to be dry with a mixture of sun and clouds. Temperatures will warm to the mid-60s.

Sunday: A few morning clouds. Then, mostly sunny. Cold and windy. Highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Winds: WNW 15-25 mph, gusts to 30-40 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly clear and still windy. Cold with lows in the low to mid 30s. Winds: W 15-25 mph, gusts to 35 mph. Winds will ease a bit by morning.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low to mid 50s. Breezy. Winds: W 15-20, gusts to 25 mph.

Tropical Update

Shower and thunderstorm activity has diminished in association with an area of low pressure located over the southwestern Caribbean Sea. Environmental conditions are marginally conducive for further development. A tropical depression could form during the next few days, while the low moves slowly and erratically.
