NORFOLK, Va. - Folks all over Hampton Roads are gearing up for the 20th Annual Mayflower Marathon Food and Fund Drive.

Starting Friday, volunteers will be collecting food and monetary donations for 57 straight hours to benefit the Foodbank of Southeaster Virginia and the Easter Shore and the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.

“It’s just a really important time,” said Joy Eyrolles of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. “Families are coming together. Everyone should have a meal that they can share and enjoy.”

Radio personalities from 106.9 the Fox and FM99 are broadcasting live throughout the event.
