Grand Illumination Parade lights up Downtown Norfolk this weekend

NORFOLK, Va. - For over thirty years, the streets of Downtown Norfolk have hosted the Grand Illumination Parade to kick off the holiday season.

This years theme is 'Winter Wonderland.' The parade starts on Main Street and rolls through the streets making its way to Waterside Drive.

It begins with the illumination of the Downtown skyline and is followed by floats, marching bands, giant balloons, dancers and even Santa Claus will be making an appearance!

The parade is Saturday, November 19th at 7 p.m. It's free and open to anyone who wants to get in the holiday spirit!
