Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

Sunny and seasonal… Expect plenty of sunshine today with highs warming slightly into the mid 60s. A cold front will move through tonight and may mix in a few clouds but rain chances remain very low. Slightly cooler air will move in behind this front.

Sunshine will continue for Thursday with highs in the low 60s. It will be a bit breezy with north winds at 5 to 15 mph. Our temperature ups and downs will return for the weekend. Highs will warm to the mid 60s on Friday and near 70 on Saturday. A strong cold front will move through Saturday night. Isolated showers are possible but most areas will just see extra clouds overnight. Much colder air will move in behind this front and highs will only reach the low to mid 50s for Sunday and Monday with overnight lows near freezing. Winds will crank up as the front moves through and gusts to near 30 mph are possible Sunday.

Tonight: A Few Clouds. Lows in the mid 40s. Winds: W/NW 5-10

Tomorrow: Mostly Sunny. Highs in the low 60s. Winds: N 5-15

Tropical Update

We are watching a large area of cloudiness and showers over the southwestern Caribbean Sea associated with a broad low pressure system. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for slow development of this system during the next several days. A tropical depression is likely to form late this week or over the weekend.
