4-year-old Virginia girl and abductor located; AMBER Alert canceled

CHARLOTTE Co., Va. – The AMBER Alert issued for 4-year-old Annabelle Doretha Hope Richardson has been canceled after both Annabelle and her abductor were found, Virginia State Police announced on Tuesday morning.

No further details about where they were found were given.

The AMBER Alert was issued on Monday evening around 5 p.m. Annabelle was believed to be in extreme danger and abducted by her biological father, 24-year-old Dylan James Richardson.

Annabelle is described as a Caucasian female, about 3 feet tall, weighing about 22 pounds. She has green eyes and short blond hair.

Richardson is described as a Caucasian male, 5′ 10″ tall, weighing 140 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.

Annabelle was last seen at 400 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte County on November 9. Police said the pair may be traveling north toward New Jersey in a 1995 burgundy Chevy van with Virginia license plate number VMG2332.

Virginia State Police and Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse issued the alert on behalf of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
