Four dead in Northampton County tractor trailer crash

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. – Four people have died after the collision of a tractor trailer and Hyundai SUV.

The crash happened on Route 13 near Capeville Drive around 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

According to police, the Hyundai was attempting to make a turn when the tractor trailer hit the vehicle.

Police say two men and two women in the car have died. The driver was 87-year-old Konrad Erbes and the three passengers were 80-year-old Jacob Eng, 78-year-old Angelika Erbes and 76-year-old Theresa Eng.

The driver of the tractor trailer is expected to be okay.

Police tell News 3 they victims are from Chesterfield County and were visiting family in Northampton County.
