VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - The regular season's done, but that doesn't mean a thing for the 757 Showdown! This week takes us to the beach for the start of the 2016 high school football playoff season. Tallwood (8-2) is having a historic season, posting their best record since 2006 when they went 8-3.

The Lions defeated Bayside (8-2) earlier this season in a 21-14 battle, part of a current 7-game win streak for Tallwood. "We know that we need to make sure, that when we're executing our x's and o's that the turnover battle is gonna be a big one for us, we know special teams is going to play a big part in this game," says Tallwood head coach John Kepple.

The Marlins are also on a streak, pulling off the last five in a row headed into the postseason.  "It's a very focused group, they can eliminate distractions on and off the field, they can tune out the crowd, things have been rolling well, and we're very eager for Friday," says Bayside head coach John White.

All of that, is out the window now as both teams prepare for Friday night's 7:00 p.m. kickoff at Kellam High School. Be sure to catch this game and more Friday inside The Locker Room on News 3 at 11.
