CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Fire officials say a chemical odor evacuated a Greenbrier business on Wednesday.

Fire officials were called to the building in the 1400 block of Stephanie Way at 11:52 a.m.

There were no injuries in the incident and firefighters say they found a haze and chemical odor when they entered the building.

Firefighters were unable to determine what the source of the haze was.

The building was ventilated using fans and firefighters rook air readings using meters to be sure the building was safe before allowing people back in.
