Man walks into Hampton hospital with gunshot wound

HAMPTON, Va. – A 21-year-old Ohio man walked into Riverside Behavioral Center with a gunshot wound to his thigh and hand.

Police responded to the hospital on Sunday around 1:30 p.m.

The victim told police he was shot by an unknown man in the 600 block of Newmarket Drive North because he accidentally bumped into his car while walking by it.

The victim said he couldn’t remember any details about the incident.

His injuries are non-life threatening.
