VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Landstown (8-2) used two turnovers to create nine points in the final five minutes and get a 22-14 win over Ocean Lakes.
Brent Stukes had two touchdowns on the ground and one through the air for the Eagles, while Joseph White snagged potentially the touchdown catch of the year and recovered a fumble.
Ocean Lakes drops to 5-5, and will not make the playoffs for the first time since 2009.
"See you want to finish strong to be able to compete against the best teams in the area, and that's what we wanted, we wanted that very bad, and that's what we showed, we showed that we had resiliency, we showed that we can fight," Landstown head coach Tommy Reamon, Sr. said.
Final playoff seedings from the VHSL don't come out until Sunday, but Landstown is in a tie with Bayside and Tallwood for fourth in the 6A South Region.
