Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

Showers and a big cool down… A cold front will move through the region tonight, bringing us big temperature changes and a chance for rain. Watch out for areas of patchy fog and low clouds this morning then sunshine for most of the day with clouds rolling in later this afternoon. Temperatures will start near 60 this morning and warm into the low 80s this afternoon. We could set new daily high temperature records today.

Showers will move in this evening as the cold front pushes through. Showers will move out very early Friday morning. Winds will also crank up overnight as the front moves in. Expect north winds at 15 to 25 with gusts to 30+ mph possible overnight and for most of Friday.

Cooler air will move in behind the front. We will start Friday in the upper 50s but only climb to near 60. That is a 20+ degree temperature drop! Expect a mix of sun and clouds Friday with a gradual clearing trend. We should see plenty of sunshine through the weekend and for the first half of next week. Temperatures will remain near or below normal for the weekend and most of next week.
