With just five days left in the Presidential race, the candidates are crisscrossing the country in a flurry of appearances aimed at getting out their supporters and winning over the few undecided voters left.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump can't be everywhere, so they often send surrogates to represent them. Today, Trump's wife Melania made her first appearance since speaking at the Republican National Convention last summer. She told an audience outside Philadelphia that her focus as First Lady would be to stop cyber bullying.

President Obama continued his swing state blitz for Clinton, appearing at a rally in Miami today. Yesterday the President made a stop in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Polls show North Carolina is up for grabs.

Today in Hampton Roads Clinton surrogate Martin O'Malley made the rounds for her.

The former Maryland Governor ran against Clinton in the democratic primaries, but is now on the road for her every day. Polls show the race tightening in Virginia and News 3 asked O'Malley what Clinton needs to do to close the deal in the final five days.

"Overall secretary Clinton, I believe, needs to make these final days all about which of these two candidates is able to be Commander in Chief and which one will make your family's wages go up rather than down," O'Malley said.

O'Malley called Donald Trump a third party candidate who has taken over the Republican party.

Most polls show Clinton leading in the Commonwealth, although a Hampton University survey released Wednesday shows Trump ahead for the first time in the campaign.

O'Malley says the campaign still needs to work hard through election day "I believe that  we're going to win Virginia and we need to win Virginia and we should win Virginia."
