CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. – UVA (2-6, 1-3) is no stranger to heart break. Last season, the Cavs held a 27-26 lead over No. 9 Notre Dame with 1:54 left in the game last season, at home. They lost on a 40-yard touchdown from Notre Dame with :12 seconds left.

On Saturday, the Hoo’s would experience it again, and eerily similarly. With :13 seconds left, Lamar Jackson dropped a 29-yard dime to Jaylen Smith for the go-ahead touchdown to help Louisville edge UVA 32-25.

Kurt Benkert had another up-and-down day, completing 25-of-39 passes for 238 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Former Bayside standout Taquan Mizzell rushed for 66 yards on 20 carries.
