Portsmouth convenience store robbed at gunpoint

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth Police are investigating the robbery of a business Saturday evening.

At 5:20 p.m., police received a call regarding a robbery at Vickie's Convenience Store in the 1400 block of Effingham Street.

Officials say a group of people entered the store and one of the suspects pulled out a gun and demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk.

The clerk complied and the suspects left the store.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects pictured in surveillance video footage.
