If you’ve been waiting for the sweater weather, it’s here! We’re tracking a big drop in temperatures.
As we go through the day, the skies will gradually clear, giving way to sunshine and cooler temperatures, with highs in the low to mid 60s. Gusty winds on tap as well. Winds will be out of the northwest between 15-25 mph with gusts 30+.
The winds will start to settle down a bit by Sunday. Still, it be a bit cool. Highs will be in the mid 60s. We’ll see mostly sunny skies. By Monday, highs will climb back into the 70s.
We’re also keeping a close eye on a non-tropical area of low pressure centered about 350 miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. The system will likely produce a high risk of rip currents and high surf for all area beaches in Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina for the weekend.
Saturday: AM shower possible (20%). Then, becoming sunny. High temperatures in the low and mid 60s. Winds: NW 15-20 mph, gusts to 25-30 mph
Saturday night: Mostly clear and chilly. Lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Winds W 5-15 mph.
