Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

More sunshine and even warmer… Expect mostly sunny skies again today with just a few clouds mixing in this afternoon. Highs will warm into the low to mid 80s this afternoon. Southwest winds will continue to bring in warm air and winds will kick up a bit this afternoon. Highs will return to the mid 80s on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies.

More clouds will blend in for the end of the work week with highs slipping into the 70s. Our best chance for rain this week will be Friday as a cold front moves in. We will track scattered showers Friday evening. Behind the front temperatures will drop. Expect highs in the 60s this weekend.

Today: Mostly Sunny. Highs in the low to mid 80s. Winds: SW 5-15 mph.

Tonight: Mainly Clear. Lows in the mid 60s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: Mostly Sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Tropical Update

Post-Tropical Cyclone Nicole continues moving generally north in the northern Atlantic. Nicole will be absorbed by another low pressure area by Thursday.

We are watching a low pressure area located just to the northeast of the southeastern Bahamas. It has become more concentrated this morning and surface observations indicate that pressures are falling in the area. The low is expected to slowly intensify as upper-level winds become more conducive and a subtropical or tropical cyclone could form during the next day or two as the low moves northward or north-northwestward.

* Formation chance through 48 hours: Medium (40%)

* Formation chance through 5 days: High (70%)
