Dominion Virginia Power: Matthew caused 9th most outages in 50 years of storms

VIRGINIA – Nearly half a million Dominion Virginia Power customers experienced an outage due to Hurricane Matthew.

That number, 462,000 to be exact, made Matthew the storm with the ninth most outages in Virginia in the past 50 years. The most outages? Hurricane Isabel in 2003 with 1.8 million.
