Williamsburg Police Department hosting drug take back collection on October 22

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Williamsburg Police Department and Williamsburg-James City County Sheriff’s Office are asking citizens to drop off unused and unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications as part of the National Drug Take Back initiative.

Residents are asked to bring medications to the Williamsburg Police Department at 425 Armistead Avenuon October 22 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

All drugs collected will be turned over to the DEA for proper disposal.

The service is free, anonymous and no questions will be asked.

Any type of drugs are accepted at the drop off. Liquids should be in sealed containers. Needles cannot and will not be accepted.
