Hampton Police investigating shooting near high school

HAMPTON, Va. - Officer responded to a shooting near Phoebus High School on Thursday afternoon.

Around 2:15 p.m., police received a call about a shooting in the 200 block of Woodland Road.

When police arrived at the scene they found two adult male victims, both suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

A preliminary investigation revealed that two vehicles were driving southbound on Woodland Road when the suspect vehicle pulled up beside the victim's vehicle.

The suspect fired a single gunshot at the victims.

The driver and passenger of the car were both struck from the single gunshot. Both victims have been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

There is no suspect information available at this time, however the vehicle the suspect was driving is described as a silver or grey mid-sized sedan.
