NORFOLK, Va. – The Chrysler Museum of Art is set to show paintings from some very high profile artists.
Starting October 7, the museum will celebrate the countryside in its exhibition “The Agrarian Ideal” and feature Claude Monet’s “Haystacks, Late Summer” (1891) visiting from the Musee D’Orsay in Paris, and Vincent van Gogh’s “Wheat Field behind St. Paul’s Hospital, St. Remy” (1889), borrowed from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
The exhibition will include a total of 21 paintings from the Chrysler Collection by Winslow Homer, Paul Gauguin, Camille Pissarro and others
