NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk has been voted one of the “Friendliest Cities in America” by Travel + Leisure.

The Mermaid City ranked #16 out of 20, among cities like New Orleans, Memphis, Charleston, Kansas City, Fort Worth and Raleigh.

The 20 top cities scored well in user-friendly categories like affordability, walkability and easily navigated city centers.

“We are honored to have received this ranking as it proves that visitors come to our city not only for the rich history, culture, food, entertainment and shopping, but also for the hospitality and friendly faces,” said VisitNorfolk President & CEO Anthony J. DiFilippo.

Norfolk also recently ranked #4 as “America’s Favorite City” and #14 as “America’s Most Attractive City,” also by Travel + Leisure.
