Three shootings in Norfolk within five hours

NORFOLK, Va., – Police are searching for leads after a Sunday morning shooting.

Officers were called to the 2500 block of Hale Street around 5:20 a.m. on reports that gunshots had been heard and a man was lying outside.

Police and fire-rescue responded to the area and located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics transported the victim to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he is listed in critical condition with life threatening injuries.

Before that, at 2:20 a.m., Police were called to Vernon Drive where they found a gunshot victim.

He is expected to be okay.

There was also a shooting at the intersection of West 26th Street and Bowden Ferry Road.

Police say the victim is expected to be okay.

No word on a suspect at this time.
