Suffolk Police investigate stolen vehicle accident

kingsforkrdSUFFOLK, Va. – Police are investigating a vehicle accident that occurred on Thursday.

The accident involved a stolen vehicle and happened near the intersection of Pruden Blvd. and Route 460.

Police received information about a possible stolen Dodge Nitro that was traveling along Route 58 into the City of Suffolk.

Officers saw the Nitro taking the Pitchkettle Road exit where it continued onto Kings Fork Road.

The vehicle then continued onto Kings Fork Road where the driver disregarded a red light at the intersection of Pruden Blvd. and Route 460.

The stolen vehicle struck a Jeep Wrangler, causing major damage.

Four occupants of the stolen Nitro then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

Officers were able to apprehend the occupants, which were three males and one female.

The vehicle was found to have been stolen from Newport News.

Police say there were no injuries.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
