Chesapeake, Va. - Grassfield is 6-3 in the last nine games vs. Indian River. Recently, The Braves have won the last two, including a 34-3 win over the Grizzlies.

Indian River is off to a 2-1 start. After a one-point loss to Bethel, the Braves have reeled off two straight wins by a combined 51 points. With  Devon Hunter in the backfield, they're finding a stride. "I just try and lead, last year I looked up to a lot of dudes, and now I'm filling their shoes," says Hunter, who has offers from multiple Power-5 schools.

Grassfield lost Grant Holloway and Patrick Jones to the next level of football, but they're off to a 3-0 start. The Grizzlies were 3-0 at this point last season when they faced the Braves. "The good thing about high school is we get a new team every year, I told them we're not the same team as last year, they're not the same team as last year, and you've got to go play in 16 inches of water in three days," says head coach Marty Asprey. "Last year was last year and i told this team this this year, what we're trying to do is get better every week, overcome obstacles, and we play in one of the toughest divisions in the state so if you don't bring your A-game, you can get embarrassed."

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Indian River High School.
