On Saturday around 4:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a reported indecent exposure at the Food Lion on 1313 North Road Street.

While they were on their way to the call, officers saw a car matching the suspect’s vehicle description on North Road Street at Hughes Boulevard.

Officers got behind the vehicle, a 2003 Acura with North Carolina registration, on West Broad Street at North Road Street.

The suspect did not stop, even after officers turned on their emergency lights and siren. The driver traveled nearly 3 miles and ignored a stop sign on North Road Street.

The suspect then hit a 2012 Honda Accord and ran away from the scene. Medics took the driver of the Honda Accord  to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center with minor injuries.
