Man accused of robbing ODU student arrested in Washington D.C.

NORFOLK, Va. – A man wanted in connection with the robbery of an Old Dominion University student was arrested Monday by U.S. Marshals.

According to the Deputy U.S. Marshal, Lyndon Adraine Scott, 25, was arrested in Washington D.C. and charged with five felonies by the ODU Police Department.

According to police, Scott, also known as “Fatz”, robbed an ODU student at gunpoint on June 17 around 12:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 39th Street in Norfolk.

On August 5, ODU Police obtained warrants charging Scott with robbery, abduction, malicious wounding, use of firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

U.S. Marshals in Norfolk took over the fugitive investigation for Scott found out he was in the D.C. area.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Scott at an apartment building complex at 901 New Jersey Avenue Northwest, in Washington D.C.
