URUPA VALLEY, Ca. – A stolen semi-truck is being pursued by police in California.

The truck was reported stolen from the Bakersfield area of the state.

The chase started around 10:30 a.m. PST.

The driver reportedly communicated with the California Highway Patrol and said he had no weapons and didn’t want to hurt anyone. He just didn’t want to go back to jail.

The driver drove the semi-truck proficiently and at a safe speed, so police followed the truck until the driver stopped at a rest station. He got out of the truck and was arrested without incident.
