HAMPTON, Va. – Police conducted a death investigation after a man accidentally shot himself.
On August 12, officers were called to the 1800 block of Walkers Landing Lane after receiving a shooting complaint.
When officers arrived, they found Breyon Rooks, 21, suffering from a single gunshot wound.
According to police, while Rooks was handling a gun, the gun fired one time and struck him.
Rooks was pronounced dead at the scene.
