Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast
Cranking up the heat… Get ready for another stretch of hot and humid days. Highs will climb to near 90 today but with dew points in the mid 70s it will feel more like 100. Expect heat index values this afternoon in the upper 90s to near 100. We should see more sunshine today with partly cloudy skies overall. An isolated shower or storm could pop up this afternoon but most areas should stay dry.
Tomorrow’s forecast will be very similar to today’s with highs near 90, afternoon heat index near 100, partly cloudy skies, and an isolated shower/storm possible. Highs will climb to the low 90s on Friday and mid 90s on Saturday. Expect afternoon heat index values between 100 and 105+. Rain chances will remain limited for the weekend with just an isolated “pop-up” possible.
