North Carolina Aquarium completes $6.5 million renovations

ROANOKE ISLAND, N.C. – Renovations at the North Carolina Aquarium are complete and a grand opening ceremony took place on Wednesday.

The renovation consists of several exhibits, including Seven Rivers, Sea Treasures, Ironclad Sanctuary, and Delicate Drifters.

The aquarium will continue to offer exhibits like Wild Wetlands, Graveyard of the Atlantic, and Sea Senses Touch Tank, as well as the Sea Turtle Assistance and Rehabilitation (STAR) Center.
