Tracking a few showers and storms and warmer temps….Some of us may have to dodge a few more showers and storms this afternoon and evening. Then, our attention turns to the heat.

As we move through our Tuesday afternoon, expect partly sunny skies. A few scattered showers and storms are possible, due in part to a stationary front draped over the Mid-Atlantic. Any rain that develops could be heavy, capable of producing localized flooding. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s. Tonight, while a few isolated showers are possible, most of us will see partly to mostly cloudy skies and areas of patchy fog. Low temperatures will be in the mid 70s.

The stationary front will linger around the viewing area through the rest of the work week. However, the front will likely push a lot of the active weather to our west. We can’t rule out an isolated thunderstorm, though, as our temperatures climb back into the 90s. In fact, highs on Wednesday will be near 90. By Thursday through the weekend, highs will be in the lower 90s. However, because of the humidity, it will feel like the upper 90s into the triple digits.

Today: Mostly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Highs in the mid 80s. Winds: SE 5-15 mph.

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy, Isolated Showers/Storms(20%). Lows in the mid 70s. Winds: SE/S 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: Partly Sunny, Isolated Showers/Storms(20%). Highs in the upper 80s. Winds: S 5-15 mph.
