NORFOLK, Va. – Neighborhoods throughout Hampton Roads will celebrate the 33rd annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday.
The crime and drug prevention event is celebrated in 16,000 communities in the U.S., Canada and military bases all over the world. According to the National Association of Town Watch, nearly 37 million people are expected to participate.
Here is a list of some of the events held in Hampton Roads communities:
- Suffolk: Pavilion at Suffolk Visitor Center 5:30 p.m.
- Chesapeake: Lakeside Park 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Hampton: Hampton Roads Convention Center Exhibit Hall C 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
- Williamsburg: Community Building (401 N. Boundary Street) 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
*The Norfolk event has been canceled due to inclement weather. It’s been rescheduled for Saturday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tarrallton Community Center.
