Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

***Heat Advisory is in effect from midday to late afternoon for most of eastern North Carolina. Heat index values could top 105 again this afternoon.***

Hot, humid and storms… Highs will return to the mid 90s this afternoon but it will feel like the triple digits. Expect heat index values near 105 during the afternoon hours. We will see more clouds build in today with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. Some storms could be strong to severe with gusty winds and heavy downpours possible.

Temperatures will fall back into the upper 80s for the weekend but more showers and storms are possible as another string of fronts stretches out across the Mid-Atlantic. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with scattered showers and storms both days. Rain chances will be slightly higher on Saturday versus Sunday.
