Heat, humidity and thunderstorms….Your First Warning Storm Team is keeping a close eye on the thermometer and the radar today.
As we move through our Friday afternoon and evening, our temperatures are going up! We’re expecting highs in the mid 90s, but because of the humidity, it will feel like the triple digits. Take it easy outside, and drink plenty of water. We’ll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Eventually those clouds may give way to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Any storms that develop could produce heavy rain and gusty winds. Tonight, we’ll have a few scattered showers and storms around. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy skies with lows in the mid 70s.
This weekend, all eyes will be on a frontal system to our west. It will move in and stall across our area, giving way to unsettled weather. On Saturday, we’ll see partly sunny skies, then scattered showers and storms by the afternoon and evening. Some of the rain could be heavy at times. Gusty winds are possible, too. Highs will be in the upper 80s. Rain chances will likely be highest on Saturday compared to Sunday. Still, a few scattered showers and storms are in the forecast for Sunday with highs in the upper 80s. By early next week, highs rise back into the lower 90s. Have a good weekend!
