ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. – An Isle of Wight County pastor currently out on bond from multiple child pornography charges was arrested again on Wednesday after investigators examined more evidence related to his case.
Christopher Alan Hogge was arrested May 23 at his home in Isle of Wight County and charged with eight counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.
Investigators searched his home, the church where he served as pastor, and his office in Franklin where he served as the city’s Director of the Department of Social Services.
At the time of his first arrested, investigators told News 3 they had found about 3,000 images that Hogge had recently downloaded that were pornographic in nature. Eight images clearly showed children.
Hogge appeared in court and was granted $25,000 bond.
Investigators now say they’ve since reviewed several electronic devices that were taken from Hogge’s home during the searches.
As a result, Hogge was arrested again on June 14 and charged with 11 additional felony charges, including one count of distribution of child pornography and 10 counts of 2nd offense distribution of child pornography.
He was taken to the Western Tidewater Regional Jail with no bond.
