First Warning Forecast: Tracking more heat and storms to end the workweek

Posted

Meteorologist April Loveland’s First Warning Forecast

For tonight, we’re expecting partly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be in the upper 70s.

On Friday, we’re expecting another hot, humid day. High temperatures will rise into the mid 90s. However, with the humidity, we’ll have heat index values in the triple digits again. Take your precautions. We’ll see partly cloudy skies and a few scattered showers and thunderstorms by the afternoon and evening. Some of the rain could be heavy at times.

By the weekend, our temperatures will fall back into the mid and upper 80s. But we’re expecting more showers and thunderstorms as a system to our southwest moves in and stalls across the viewing area. We’re not expecting a complete weekend washout, but have your rain gear handy. Temps will be near 90 on Monday.

Tonight: A Few Clouds. Warm and muggy. Lows in the upper 70s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Friday: Partly Cloudy. Scattered Showers/Storms (40%). Highs in the mid 90s. Heat Index 100+. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Saturday: Partly Sunny. Scattered Showers/Storms (50%). Highs in the mid and upper 80s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.
