Tracking more heat and more storms….We’re keeping an eye on the temperatures and on First Warning Radar today.
As we move through our Wednesday evening, some of us may have to dodge a few scattered showers and thunderstorms as a weak front approaches the area from the south. So, keep your rain gear nearby just in case a storm moves in your direction. Any storms that develop could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with high temperatures in the upper 80 and lower 90s. With the humidity, it will feel like the mid and upper 90s. A few isolated areas could touch the triple digits for the heat index. Tonight, a few scattered showers and storms are possible. Otherwise, we’ll see partly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be in the upper 70s.
We’re not expecting as much rain as we go into Thursday and Friday. A few pop-up showers and storms could develop here and there, but no widespread rain is expected for now. Otherwise, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds. Our high temperatures, though, are going to soar well into the mid 90s. When you factor in the humidity, it will feel like the triple digits. In fact, heat advisories are likely over the next few days. We’ll warn you if they are issued.
Temperatures will fall back into the mid and upper 80s this weekend. Showers and thunderstorms are also possible.
