Deputies apprehend escaped detention center teens

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – According to deputies, two juveniles from the Merrimac Detention Center ran from their work site Wednesday afternoon.

The escapees have since been apprehended nearby where they escaped from.

They were working near the Sentara Hospital in the Williamsburg area of York County.

According to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, the escapees are described as an 18-year-old female who is 5’6″ with brown hair and brown eyes in a blue sweatshirt and khaki pants.

The second is a 16-year-old white male who is 5’8″ with blonde hair and blue eyes.

They were last seen on foot heading towards Old Mooretown Road.
