Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

Hot and humid, with more storms… Expect sunshine this morning with scattered showers and storms firing up this afternoon. A few showers are possible this morning but most of the rain and storm chances will be this afternoon and evening. Our severe weather threat for today is low. Highs will climb into the upper 80s today but with dew points in the mid 70s it will feel more like the upper 90s this afternoon.

Highs will climb back into the low 90s for the end of the work week. Expect afternoon heat index values near 100 for Thursday and Friday. We will see a mix of sun and clouds with a typical summer-time “pop up” shower or storm possible.

Highs will climb into the mid 90s on Saturday before a cold front moves in. Heat index values will climb to 105+ on Saturday. The passing cold front will trigger a few scattered showers and storms on Saturday but will also help to drop the temperatures for Sunday. Expect highs in the upper 80s on Sunday.

Today: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Highs in the upper 80s. Winds: W 5-10

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Lows in the mid 70s. Winds: SW 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(30%). Highs in the low 90s. Winds: SW 5-10
