Hot and humid, chance of storms….Get ready for more heat, humidity and thunderstorms in your forecast.

As we move through this Wednesday afternoon and evening, our eyes will be on First Warning Radar. We’re tracking the potential for more scattered showers and thunderstorms today. Any storms that develop could produce heavy rain and gusty winds, but overall, our threat for severe weather is low. Otherwise, expect a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s, but because of the humidity, it will feel like the upper 90s and the triple digits. Showers and storms should dissipate with the loss of daytime heating later tonight. Lows will be in the mid 70s.

On Thursday, we’re expecting another hot, humid day with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s. Of course, with the humidity, it will feel like the triple digits. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds and even a chance of afternoon and evening scattered showers and thunderstorms.

By Friday and Saturday, our temperatures will soar into the mid and upper 90s, with heat index values in the triple digits. This will likely be some of the hottest weather we’ve seen this year, so take your precautions! A cold front will move through the area Saturday afternon, which could produce a few showers and storms as it crosses. We’ll keep an eye on it. By Sunday, with the front to our south, highs will drop into the upper 80s into Monday.

Today: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Highs in the upper 80s. Winds: W 5-10

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Lows in the mid 70s. Winds: SW 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(30%). Highs in the low 90s. Winds: SW 5-10
