Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast
Storms today, then hot & humid… Expect mostly cloudy skies today with scattered showers and storms. Rain and storm chances will gradually become more scattered this afternoon and evening. Highs today will reach the low to mid 80s. Enjoy the “cooler” air today because heat and humidity will be the story for the rest of the week.
Expect highs near 90 from Tuesday through the weekend. Dew points will climb into the mid 70s, making it feel very muggy. The added humidity will make those afternoon highs near 90, feel more like the upper 90s and near 100. Scattered showers and storms will stick around for Tuesday and Wednesday but chances will gradually step lower and more sunshine will mix in. A typical summer-time “pop up” shower or storm is possible for the second half of the week and weekend.
