VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A man has been sentenced to two life terms, plus 80 years in prison.

According to the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the city of Virginia Beach, Albert Junior Cox, 52, was sentenced in Circuit Court on Wednesday.

Cox was sentenced on four counts of Forcible Sodomy, Rape, Object Sexual Penetration, and Indecent Liberties.

Evidence proved that between 2011 and 2015 Cox sexually abused two children he knew on a consistent basis.

Once the children reported the abuse to family members Cox didn’t deny the allegations.

Cox admitted he needed help and agreed to see his therapist, saying “I did something wrong, I’m gonna get me some help.”

He does have prior convictions for Assault and Battery of a family member, Forgery, Grand Larceny, DUI and other convictions.

The sentence is above the high-end of the Virginia State Sentencing Guidelines, which recommend he serve no more than 42 years and 10 months in prison.
